Rebecca Henson recognized at C-N FCS Awards night

Rebecca Henson, a foods, nutrition & dietetics major from Tellico Plains was awarded the Barbara Bible Scholars distinction during Carson Newman University's Department of Family & Consumer Sciences' annual Honors Banquet.

Awards were presented to graduating seniors and current faculty for scholarship and service. Also, scholarships awarded to 17 students totaled almost $90,000.

The FCS annual Honors Banquet is sponsored by the C-N Association of Family & Consumer Sciences chaired by Kaila Nelson, a consumer service and interior design major. Faculty advisors are Dr. Heather Whaley and Dr. Kim Johnson.

Carson-Newman University is a private, Christian liberal arts university. Founded in 1851, Carson-Newman is located in Jefferson City, Tennessee, among the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.
